In order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, health experts recommend wearing masks around other people. Practices such as washing your hands, taking vitamins and supplements, and many more sound advice from health experts are standard and somehow followed by citizens. The order to “stay home” is in effect in many cities and states. More so than ever before, modern society values health. 

Everybody wants to be safe for themselves and their loved ones. However, sometimes inevitable to take things for granted and slow down the body’s functions when living in self-isolation or quarantine. The current condition shouldn’t be stopping you from having at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. Even though you should shun spots with crowds like the gym, perhaps, you still can get the training you need. 

Here are some ideas to help you stay healthy and happy when you’re home all day: 

1. Go On A Healthy Diet 

When would your schedule be more suited for proper cooking than in quarantine? Take advantage of the time when you can practice and brush up your cooking skills. Say goodbye to microwavable and fast foods. The meal doesn’t need to be something time-consuming to make. But it should be healthy and created with fresh ingredients from your fridge. In the end, it’ll be healthier and possibly somewhat more entertaining, especially if you have your loved ones join you while cooking. 

2. Exercise Regularly 

Generally speaking, when starting a new workout routine or program, it’s best to have a goal or purpose. This will motivate you to do your best and take on challenges. Several fitness YouTubers are producing free workout plans these days. Whether you prefer lifting weights or cardio, yoga, or dance, there’s something for everybody. This is the time to brighten up your quarantine zone. 

Here are some great ideas for an excellent sweat-out session during quarantine: 

Spin Bike Exercises 

There’s a good chance someone has told you about that incredible spin class that they attend. If you’re fascinated with it, get a good spin bike and check out posts from Groom and Style. There are many benefits to doing this spin biking exercise as it will relieve your stress, secrete happy hormones, and make your legs and core muscles more muscular and leaner.  

If you’ve recently recovered from an injury or surgery or are simply looking for a gentler workout, spinning is ideal. Don’t get it wrong though, you still get excellent exercise, but since the bike is stationary, you no longer risk falling off the bike or colliding with a fellow cyclist. 

Planking Exercise 

This is one of the most straightforward exercises since it consists of a few easy moves and requires minimal effort. Though a plank may seem simple, it’s tough to execute, and it requires patience and constant repetitions for it to be effective.

An exercise known as high-intensity interval training (HIIT) entails short bursts of intense exercise followed by low-intensity pauses. Activities in HIIT can be completed in a matter of seconds and involve a straightforward work-to-rest ratio. Weight loss is significantly aided by HIIT workouts, as they’re among the most time-efficient complete body workouts out there. Go For A Walk or A Run

By incorporating meditation and breathing into yoga, a person’s mental well-being can improve. This makes it even a better workout during the Covid-19 situation. 

3. Get Good Quality Sleep 

Sleeping well is an essential part of healthy living, especially when you’re stressed or worried. An average adult sleeps between six and seven hours a night. With the work-from-home system these days, one doesn’t need time for commute and transport, so you can spare a few more minutes or even an hour in the morning to make your sleep a bit lengthier.
